Children's Dental Health Care

Dental Care is a Part of Your Child’s Health Care
We teach your children the importance of brushing and flossing at an early age in an environment that is comfortable and fun for them. It is important for parents to realize that children’s teeth are more susceptible to cavities than adults’ teeth are. Children do not always clean their teeth properly, so we encourage parents to participate during daily brushing and flossing to ensure they are doing a good job.

Also, as children eat more often during the day – a habit known as grazing – acids are produced more frequently in the mouth. This can lead to decay if teeth are not properly cleaned each day. Acids are produced every time food is consumed. Prolonged exposure to these acids can cause more cavities. And if teeth are not clean to begin with, the rate of cavity development will increase even more.

Better daily hygiene, less sugary food choices, and application of a fluoride varnish will greatly help to reduce the occurrence of cavities in children’s teeth.
